Chandlee and Sons Construction Company welcome our new Office Manager, Lindsey Kitchens, to the team. She comes to us with experience in the field of construction and brings vital experience and enthusiasm to the office.
Lindsey was born and raised in Gainesville, Georgia. She attended North Hall High School where she played softball, basketball, and tennis. While attending North Hall she broke eleven of the school’s records in softball. Lindsey received a four-year scholarship to play basketball at North Georgia College and State University (now called the University of North Georgia) in Dahlonega. The team earned the Peachbelt Conference Championship in her freshman year. She played basketball all four years and was awarded the position of Team Captain her junior and senior seasons. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
After graduating in 2009, Lindsey moved to Vail, Colorado to take a year off as a ski-bum teaching three to six year old children to ski at the Lionshead Ski School. She then moved to Steamboat Springs where she lived over two years working in the ticket office of the Ski & Snowboard School selling lessons and teaching during the busy weeks.
While living there Lindsey met Blake Gresham, who is from Southern California. The two of them moved to Georgia in 2012 where they both began work in the construction field. Blake started his own electrical contracting firm, Blake Electric Company. Lindsey worked with him to get the business started and it continues to grow today. She enjoyed managing and observing the progress of each project undertaken.
Lindsey saw that Chandlee and Sons was seeking to fill the position of Office Manager in a Craigslist notice. After researching the company she lined up an interview because she felt the position was a great fit for her. Lindsey is very organized and capable of wearing multiple hats. She enjoys pulling permits and working with subcontractors. Welcome aboard Lindsey!
Lindsey and Blake have a one year old Weimaraner named Moose who is full of energy and loves running in the pond in their back yard. They currently live in East Cobb County in the city of Marietta. Blake asked Lindsey to marry him while on a trip to Colorado in the summer of 2016.
