The scope of this project was to take Todd and Kelly McDougald’s Merlin franchise from the temporary certificate of occupancy to the certificate of occupancy. To achieve this Seth Chandlee and his crew from Chandlee and Sons Construction Company completed the construction of the brick walls and an exterior parapet wall with an arch element. In the interior, the crew completed the structural steel and the painting, installed a staircase to the newly created second-floor storage area located over the offices and performed the punch-out. The crew also stained the concrete floors. The work performed by Chandlee and Sons enabled Todd and Kelly to open their shop on time.
“I have used Chandlee and Sons several times the recent years on both my home and at my business. Every time they do work for me they are very professional and provide quality workmanship and make sure I am satisfied. In my home they replaced hardwood floors, remodeled a bathroom, installed doors, roofed the entire house, built a garage enclosure, and performed other remodeling work. Chandlee and Sons completed the build-out of my business when another contractor left me high and dry. They made it possible for me to open my new business. I am very satisfied. I have worked with both Seth and Jim and they have always been honest and fair.” Todd McDougald commented in January 2011.
A few years later Todd and Kelly bought out the franchise and changed the name of the business to Main Street Automotive Service. As the business grew they took on a partner – Todd also began working for Chandlee and Sons Construction Company as the financial officer. In late 2015, Todd assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer for the Chandlee Holdings companies while still maintaining his co-ownership of Main Street Auto.
In March of 2016, Seth Chandlee, Chief Operating Officer of Chandlee Holdings, and a small crew, performed a fast-track through-the-night remodel of the customer service lobby for the owners. They scheduled the work while the business was closed to insure no customers were inconvenienced. New hardwood floors were laid throughout the entire lobby, the customer service counter was modified for efficiency, and a coffee and drink service were added for the convenience of the customers. The glassed exterior walls were uncluttered for a clear view to the outside. Paint and finish colors were applied, and new pieces of furniture were properly placed to complete the clean, modern design. All in a few hours overnight!
