Chandlee Construction Company is currently working on a unique project for Miller Zell, an architectural and design firm located in the warehouse district of Fulton Industrial Boulevard in Atlanta, Georgia. The first stage of this project is to disassemble and completely demolish a full size SunTrust bank building located inside Miller Zell’s 150,000 square foot showroom. This enormous space contains individual full size retail buildings for Starbucks, Metro PCS and other clients of Miller Zell.

Seth Chandlee and his team completely encapsulated the 3,000 square foot building in plastic to protect the other buildings from the demolition process enabling business to continue as usual in the showroom. Each piece of the building was methodically demolished and then transported out of the showroom along a 400 foot long pathway created from the thickest sheets of plastic available.

Seth had originally scheduled the demolition process to take several days. Instead he restructured this phrase of the project using fast track construction methods. At 4:00 p.m. on May 7 Seth arrived with four crews of workers and began the demolition. By 10:30 that evening they had completely demolished and removed the 3,000 square foot building entirely from the showroom! We will keep you posted on the subsequent stages of this project that Chandlee Construction has undertaken for Miller Zell.
