The original scope of the McGill residence project was the ground up construction of a third garage that adjoined an existing two bay garage located at the front of the three story house on a narrow lot on a busy street in Alpharetta, Georgia. The garage extension was matched exactly to the existing materials including the siding, the roofing shingles, the trim, the paint colors and the light fixtures, both exterior and interior.
The scope of the project was expanded to include the installation of new hardwood flooring throughout the main floor of the home and the redesign of the fireplace in the family room fireplace. The interior work had to be accomplished while this very active family went about their normal daily activities. Chandlee Construction Company also updated the landscaping in the front yard. The total square footage of this residential remodel and addition project was approximately 6,000 square feet. The owners were very happy with the extra parking space and the beautiful interior floors that better suited their busy lifestyle.
