Denny Hahn

Denny Hahn was born in Danville, Virginia. His father was a Fighting Seabee in the United States Navy. Because his father was stationed all around the world, Denny grew up mostly outside of the United States in places like the Philippines; Italy; and in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He moved back to the states with his family when he was seventeen years old. Denny’s father retired from the military settling in Marietta, Georgia, where he began working as a maintenance technician. Over the years his mother worked a variety of jobs. She now provides care and companionship to elderly people who live at home or in nursing homes.

Denny graduated in 1995 from McEachern High School in Powder Springs. Two years later he joined the United States Navy. During his service he was a communications electrician on board the aircraft carrier USS George Washington CVN 73. Denny worked with closed circuit television, satellite television, encrypted telephone communications, and electronics repair. When he left the service, he worked for a bakery factory, and eventually transitioned back into familiar territory working as a technician installing satellite televisions and home automation. Later Denny took a job with a sewer lining company making repairs using robotics. This job had him working away from home a lot as he learned the ins and outs of the business.

After being laid off, Denny took a job with Labor Ready. He worked for this company approximately a year when an assignment placed him in the position to meet a project manager with Chandlee Construction Company who offered him a job. Denny has been with Chandlee Construction for almost two years – he says, “I am still here and loving it.” Denny is the manager of the warehouse for the Chandlee Holdings companies overseeing the rental of our construction and electrical equipment. He also works some evenings visiting Enterprise locations to check for gates, lights and other equipment not functioning as it should. When he detects a problem, the information is given to a Chandlee crew member to repair and/or replace what is needed.

He lives in Powder Springs and has two sons, Michael and Carter. Denny enjoys cooking, building furniture, reading, and being on the computer. Denny also loves to sing karaoke and is a professional pianist!
