THE ORIGINAL TENANT FINISH BUILD-OUT
Chandlee Construction Company was chosen by Peter Harris and Stephanie Marion for the retail tenant-finish of their Camp Bow Wow franchise located at 1755 Grassland Parkway in Alpharetta, Georgia. Within the interior of the building Chandlee and Sons created a large open lobby, offices, kennels, play and exercise areas, and grooming parlors with wash rooms and showers. An additional exercise and play area was created for the dogs in the outdoor space behind the building.
Seth Chandlee, CEO of Chandlee Holdings, and Jim Chandlee, Founding Partner of Chandlee Construction, worked closely with the corporate franchise office to ensure every specification was adhered to properly and every requirement was met. Keeping the time frame always in mind Seth, Jim and their crew were able to complete all of the work in a timely manner enabling the owners to open their new business on schedule.
DESIGN/BUILD EXPANSION & REMODEL UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP – 2015
Chandlee and Sons Construction signed a contract in the middle of April 2015 with new owners, Roger and Darla Spinnato, for their $200,000 expansion and renovation of this successful franchise business. The design/build project began in the hands of the architectural team.
While the design team worked on the required documents, the Chandlee crew began the demolition of an adjoining space, that once complete, will allow this retail business to expand.
By the end of June the ceiling grid was complete, the plumbing and framing were roughed in and the lights were going up. We poised for the electrical wall cover inspection and then began hanging the sheet rock. This new portion was ready for the ceiling cover inspection by the middle of July and we had completed the installation of the stainless steel studs. Just over a month later the crew was at the punch out stage.
The crew was closing in on completing the work in the new space by the week of August 17. As of Friday, August 21, the new portion was complete. In the new design this portion will now serve as the main area for the entire business. The exterior fencing was also complete and the doorways that connect the new section with the existing section were complete.
Before work could began on the second phase of the project the staff had to move all their materials and doggy clients into the newly finished space. Now the Chandlee crew moved into the existing portion to begin the upgrade remodel to the original section of the business.
When October rolled around the remodel of the existing portion of Camp Bow Wow was nearing completion. The materials for the interior fencing arrived Thursday, October 22, with the installation completed the following week. Into November the second (and final) phase of work was 99% complete. The client hired the Marietta Fence Company to perform the exterior fence work. Once this work is complete the project will be at the final out stage. When all final inspections are complete Chandlee Construction will present the Certificate of Occupancy to the new owners.
Camp Bow Wow is now greatly expanded which enables this successful business to better serve their clients and the dogs. This excellent pet service is located just a block from Highway 9. Visit their website at http://www.campbowwow.com/alpharetta for more information.
