Chandlee and Sons Construction Company signed a contract with Mark Ferrara and Ben Lee on April 4, 2018 for the commercial build-out of The Copper Fox at 10 Roswell Street in Alpharetta, Georgia – the former location of the Dirty Iquana. Last year, Chandlee and Sons signed a contract with Mark Ferrara on August 16, 2017 for the design portion of this project.
Seth Chandlee, CEO of Chandlee Holdings and Founding Partner of Chandlee and Sons Construction Company posted on Facebook on April 10, 2018, “The Copper Fox is under contract! This is the first of its kind in Historic Downtown Alpharetta. The Copper Fox is a two-story 13,980 square foot restaurant with an indoor/outdoor sports bar on the first floor and a large music venue and bar on the upper level. VIP seating? Yes! DJ booth? Yes! Since the owners said this is public news I am sharing this awesome information. If you live on the northside of Atlanta, you will go to the Copper Fox. I will surely be a patron as there are limited places to hear live music around here.”
This is a design/build commercial construction project for Chandlee and Sons Construction Company. The plans will expand the kitchen and dining room, add outdoor seating and, create a stronger entrance. The first floor is 4,400 square feet with 9,000+ square feet upstairs. The main (first) floor will be a restaurant with a huge octagon shaped indoor/outdoor bar (each section of the octagon is 20 feet). The second floor is the music venue with seating for 330 (some for VIP’s), a DJ booth, and a 40-foot wide by 13-foot deep stage that includes a rear band entrance, VIP rooms for the bands behind the stage, and lots more.
Bob Rothman is the developer of this project and the owner of this historic building that was built in 1930. Mr. Rothman wanted the zoning of the property changed from special-use to commercial. Chandlee and Sons Construction submitted the plans. We are also working with Bob on the remodel of the exterior of the 10 Roswell Street building. Seth commented on April 16, “We are going through the design review board as we speak.”
The Copper Fox, managed by Ben Lee and Mark Ferrara, is in Suite 120 at 10 Roswell Street in Alpharetta, Georgia. The music venue will operate from 8:00pm until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. There are also two smaller existing businesses, the Corner Deli and the Aira Hair Salon, which will continue to operate on the first floor.
