Enterprise Rent-A-Car – Park Brooke
Chandlee and Sons Construction Company signed a contract on November 28, 2017 with Enterprise Leasing Corporation of Georgia whose offices are in Suite 1000 at 1850 Parkway Place in Marietta, Georgia. The contract is for site work and architectural development of the new Enterprise Rent-a-Car facility #03Y4 for owners Mr. Billy Giddens and Mr. Timothy Williamson.
Seth Chandlee, CEO of Chandlee Holding LLC and Founding Partner of Chandlee and Sons Construction Company made these comments during a visit to the site on December 5, “Marietta’s newest ground-up Enterprise Rent-a-Car is coming soon! C&S broke ground last week – this commercial project is on a tight contractual deadline for turnover.”
Lee’s Designs in Norcross, Georgia is the architect for this Enterprise project. Some of the subcontractors on this project are: Andy Porter of ADP Mechanical, AGB Stucco and Stone, CAM Construction, Chandlee Electric, D&B Glass for the storefront, D&H Construction for exterior water and sewer utilities, Jon Brian Contracting framing contractors, and Southeastern Landscaping for extensive property landscaping.
The scope of this ground-up construction project includes a 1,394 square foot office building, two driving lanes, ample parking, and two metal canopy-covered vehicle washing areas with a commercial grade vacuum system. The office building includes a lobby, two public restrooms, a breakroom, storage and a variety of offices for the staff. This project is under the expert supervision of Senior Project Manager, Ken Rybnikar, with Chandlee and Sons Construction.
Details of the construction include extensive site work; concrete work; masonry – a brick veneer on the building and a dumpster enclosure; structural steel, sheathing, cabinetry, IT boards and framing; thermal and moisture protection including shingles, roofing tiles, metal and membrane roofing systems, gutters, downspouts; and doors with hardware.
“Enterprise Rent a Car at the corner of Park Brooke and Austell Road is ready for the carwash and building foundations later this week,” remarked Seth Chandlee, during a second visit to the work site on December 12, 2017 to check the progress of his crews and to take photos of the progress.
A change was ordered to the original contract on January 18 with the addition of awnings to the scope of the project. Delays have also been filed in January due to inclement weather; snow, rain and ice.
On February 3, Seth Chandlee made a job-site visit, making these comments, “Visiting the Enterprise Rent-a-Car site in Marietta, Georgia at Austell Road – a ground up, site development and new construction project for Chandlee and Sons. This is our first ‘wood framed’ concept building – using wood to save money on construction while providing a quicker, easier steel-free design. This project is moving a lightning speed!”
