The new Huff Trail development was originally a paint factory and warehouse some years back. Kim King Associates are the Developers of this eight-acre work and play ecosystem adjacent to the planned Westside Beltline Trail in Atlanta, Georgia at 1429 Fairmont Avenue (https://kimkingassoc.com).
Chandlee Construction signed contracts with Don Conner (Fairmont Flats, LLC.), who represents Kim King Associates, the developer of the 80,000 square foot building that utilizes modern and clean designs incorporating concrete surfaces, glass, etc. (www.hufftrail.com).
Seth Chandlee, CEO of Chandlee Holdings and Founding Partner of Chandlee Construction Company, remarked on June 15, 2018, “Our team started on one end of this old warehouse and is working their way across the building as new businesses sign-up to locate within this unique development.”
OUR PROJECTS TO DATE
In late June 2018 Chandlee Construction’ Project Manager, Jim Betts, got the go head to work on the two existing lobby areas and the long hallway. The large lobby has a C shaped partial wall that joins the lobby space for Crazy Legs Productions and defines the storefront of the Peridot. The smaller lobby that is located at the other end of the building will have a restroom, a new entrance and an outside dock. Suites D, F and G are currently available for lease along with Studio 1. The work in these areas must be completed for HFC Interiors to receive their Certificate of Occupancy.
The Fairmont Event Venue occupies Studio A with about 24,000 square feet of the warehouse space. This business is just what it says in its name, a chic and modern space that leases to clients for a variety of events – a much needed facility in this part of town. The venue contains restrooms, a full-service kitchen, prep areas, staging and dressing areas and a very large open space with custom light fixtures brought in from New York City. Curtains are available to use to divide the space as needed by the client. The Fairmont is managed by Novare Events- (http://novareevents.com/tag/huff-trail/).
Peridot is a specialty gift store that occupies Suite B. This retail shop reflects the spirit of Atlanta – the concept of native Dina Woodruff. The space has a ‘C’ shaped wall that defines the glass storefront.
Crazy Leg Productions in Studio C is featured under our TV/MOVIE PRODUCTION category. The space occupies 12,000 square feet of custom offices, production and sound-proof studios on two levels and a dark room. Shares space with a common lobby.
HFC Interiors is in Studio E. It is about 2,000 square feet. This space was valued engineered. HFC specializes in multi-family interior design projects. Their original office is at The Goat Farm Art Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Suite Hand Common Areas (lobbies and restrooms) Suite H is leased to a company that sells furniture.
Seth Chandlee further explained, “This development now boasts 55,000 to 60,000 square feet of modern facilities with another 10,000 – 12,000 square feet in the next phase approved this week. The entire project will have our professional touch on it. Exciting!”
