Chandlee and Sons Construction Company signed a contract with Wes Castleman, President of Ranger Plant Construction Company out of Abilene Texas, on January 23, 2017 for the commercial renovation of an office at the Williams Transco Compressor Station #116.
Williams is one of the leading companies that constructs gas energy infrastructures in North America. The larger project was to provide a pipeline to transport natural gas to utility companies in northwest Georgia.
The scope of this small commercial project required our crews to frame, hang, finish and paint sheetrock walls; provide and install acoustical ceiling tiles, wood works, cove base, plumbing fixtures, partitions, accessories, FRP in restrooms; fire caulk in new wall locations; and provide, install and paint doors and install hardware.
This project was supervised by Senior Project Manager, Kenneth Rybnikar, and Field Assistant, Jonathan Bullington, In mid-April the crew was held up waiting on the power to start the HVAC installation. The concrete slab was being poured but no building was erected as this time. Georgia Power moved their electric pole. Soon after the crew wrapped up our portion of this project. We were not responsible for the Certificate of Occupancy.
The Williams Transco Compressor Station is at 320 South Notch Road, Whitesburgin Carrol County, Georgia. Their website is http://dalton.wpengine.com/. At this site will be maps and more information about the complete scope of this large industrial project in which Chandlee & Sons Construction played a part.
