This category was created by Chandlee Construction Company to exclusively feature the work our commercial contracting firm has performed in front of the camera.
It all began when Seth Chandlee and Jim Chandlee were spotted at an auction in Roswell, Georgia which was featured on the Auction Kings television show. Shortly after Chandlee & Sons Construction was contacted by executives at the A&E network for their show, Drill Team, whose host was Lauren Makk, a designer from Hawaii. The project to be televised was a kitchen and living room remodel in Atlanta.
2013 was the year for Chandlee Construction to catch the eye of producers in Hollywood. Once again A&E executives contacted Seth Chandlee in January, this time for their show, Sell This House: Extreme, a show known for its fast 3-day residential remodel competitions. The executives arrived in town with two remodel projects lined up, one in northeast Atlanta and the second one in Tucker, a suburb east of Atlanta. The scope of the Atlanta project involved the kitchen and living room. The second project was larger in scope involving the kitchen, living room, dining room, foyer, and, also the conversion of a closet into a space for a stacked washer and dryer.
Seth Chandlee and Jim Chandlee enjoyed themselves greatly on these shows, and through the Sell This House projects and one commercial remodel project for the Bar Rescue show, Seth gained tremendous experience about fast-track building techniques. Spike TV, the network for Bar Rescue, hired Chandlee & Sons in March for a 36-hour remodel of a bar also located in Tucker.
In August, two young entrepreneurs in Atlanta hired Chandlee Construction for the ground-up build of their restaurant and bar, Big Sky Buckhead. Seth Chandlee, Project Manager for this large project, applied his recently acquired expertise in fast-track construction during specific stages of the build to move the project along. Big Sky Buckhead opened in February 2014.
