Chandlee Construction Atlanta

Utility Construction

Utility Construction is necessary on all commercial construction projects to some degree. An interior build-out project will at least require connecting utilities inside the structure to outside utilities. Ground-up construction will require underground utilities, connecting to commercially provided utilities, and all utilities necessary inside the structure.

Utility construction, grading construction and civil and site development are interconnected. Often these services are provided by separate contracting firms that specialize in each type of construction. And some construction firms, such as Chandlee Construction Company – a commercial, general contracting firm, can provide all these services along with commercial ground-up construction and design/build construction.

Utility construction typically includes:

These installations are more complicated than it appears. The sewer systems are very dependent on the site grading and must use the very best of materials. Storm water and site drainage are crucial in protecting the development of the property.

Underground excavations for large structures include tunnels for trains and roadways, subways, and even canals. These structures are rare in the metro Atlanta area and are not usually in the scope of projects that Chandlee Construction undertakes. But infrastructure construction is common in the development of shopping centers, shopping malls, subdivisions, schools, colleges, universities, sports arenas, concert venues, mixed-use developments, business complexes, and more. As the vast area around Metro Atlanta continues to grow these types of developments are only expanding.

Chandlee Construction Company has performed utility and grading construction and site development since the inception of our company.
