Chandlee & Sons Construction – Ahead of Schedule on The Lady Bird

Chandlee and Sons entered week two in the conversion of an Old Fourth Ward cotton mill building into a dining and drinking venue. As of Friday, April 4, 2014, the crew had taken down interior walls and removed the old mechanicals and years of accumulated debris. Now four days ahead of schedule, crews have begun new construction on the outside porches.

The Lady Bird Restaurant and Beer Garden will exhibit an eco-modern design – a bit down the road from how Chandlee Construction found the structure on day one of demolition. The tall ceilings and window placement enhance the openness of the space. Two large, glass entry doors hint at things to come. Through the new design the exterior spaces of the property will be transformed into the beer gardens.

The Lady Bird is located on John Wesley Dobbs Avenue along the Eastside Trail of the Atlanta BeltLine. In just ten weeks the craft brew will be flowing on this $400,000 build for Chandlee Construction, a retail, commercial and light industrial construction firm out of Alpharetta, Georgia.

Chandlee Construction is experienced in the construction of restaurants and bars having recently completed Big Sky Buckhead in record time, the fast-track remodel of the flagship restaurant for Stuffed  Burger in Athens, Georgia, and earlier in 2013, the thirty-six hour interior and exterior remodel of a bar for Spike TV’s reality show Bar Rescue.
