Chandlee and Sons Construction Company signed a contract for the design, permit and build of the WILD WING CAFÉ in The Plaza at Windward center in Alpharetta, Georgia which is a Retail Planning Corporation development. Seth Chandlee, Managing Partner at Chandlee and Sons commented on May 11, 2016, “The new and improved Wild Wing Cafe is coming soon. The moment this tenant improvement project is out of permitting our crews will begin! All contracts have been executed.”
The scope of the work to be performed for this project is to construct a ground-up enclosed patio on the exterior of the existing building. The existing patio including the slab will be demolished and removed. The new structure will be built of insulated metal siding with masonry and stucco, overhead doors, gutters, a glass storefront, interior walls made of pine, a painted ceiling, and a stained concrete floor. All required HVAC, electrical and plumbing will be added.
Seth visited the site on Memorial Day and made this comment, “It is two weeks until this Wild Wings Cafe location gets a nice addition!”
Founding and Managing Partner, Jim Chandlee, is the Project Manager for this remodel and update project. “Once finished Wild Wing will have a beautiful all-weather front porch dining area, complete with operable garage doors for natural outdoor air while remaining comfortable enough in winter. The finishes include a stone facade with stucco accents and a deep blue metal canopy roof. Construction is scheduled to begin July 25 and be completed by August 21”, remarked Jim.
As of August 5, the steel frame that will support the new structure was in place, note Andy Cook, Manager of Chandlee Electric. Seth commented on a visit this day, “ We are tripling the size of the building by enclosing the porch, adding rising glass garage doors and finishing it in stone and wood.” The electrical rough in was completed on the 12th and the ‘cloth’ roof was hung and secured thereafter.
The was followed by the completion of the stonework and the installation of the glass panels.
Seth’s comments on September 9, “At Wild Wing’s Cafe – the fencing is GONE, the interior wood wall is done, electrical is being hung, paint and stain work underway, then concrete work, a little IT work and BAAM, done!” Before month’s end Wild Wings received their Certificate of Occupancy and began serving customers in the newly created stone and glass porch.
Wild Wing Cafe is in Suite 800E, in the same center with The Joint Chiropractic, another Chandlee & Sons’ project, at 5530 Windward Parkway near the intersection with Georgia Highway 400. Visit their website for more information at http://www.wildwingcafe.com/.
